Redevelopment

The Redevelopment Agency is a separate third party agency that describes itself as a proactive partner with the City of Norwalk in the development and redevelopment of Norwalk’s Urban Core. As a separate agency it has its own board members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the council. It has its own budget that it generates through grants, but is also funded in part by local taxpayers. It also plays an very active role in working with developers and mayor’s office in determining the city’s tax credit development projects.
